Bank Sohar’s Wholesale Banking Unit is designed to extend superior banking services to Commercial activities to various individuals, corporations and businesses as well as to Public Sector Units and to pure Government entities.
Wholesale Banking Unit is providing high end services and value added transactions to the commercial entities in the Sultanate of Oman. In order to have specific focus to the clientele segments, the Wholesale Banking has been broadly classified into the following major four segments:
- SME Banking unit is targeting businesses having turnover of less than OMR 3 Million.
- Large Corporate Banking cater to businesses having turnover of more than OMR 5 Million
- Government Institutions & Public Sector Unit is catering to the needs of pure Government units, its Ministries as well as Public Sector Units with direct/indirect Government holding of above 51%
- The Trade Finance Unit is focusing the export and import business for the entire segment of corporate and retail clientele of the Bank
The Wholesale Banking remained as a key contributor to the overall performance of the Bank since inception.
Wholesale Banking have achieved the desired levels of synergy within the Bank as well from the combined operations of all the 4 Business Divisions as well as used the opportunity of clientele strength and relationship to cross sell a range of retail products also to their clientele thereby enriching the relationship through enhanced product sales.
